How to wake a collar

Use Chrome or Edge on a computerOther browsers cannot reach a collar over Bluetooth. A Mac or Linux computer works best; on Windows some people have had trouble finding collars.

While the animal is still the collar uses the interval at the top. 0 min means the same as while still. Movement is VeDBA in g, averaged over 2-second windows. It has to stay above a level for 6 s to count, and below it for 10 s to stop. Resting is usually below 0.05 g, a slow walk 0.05 to 0.20 g, a brisk walk or trot 0.20 to 0.50 g, a run above 0.50 g.

Details

The collar checks a zone against its own safety rules before it takes it. A zone that releases the collar makes the release unit check in more often until the zone ends, which uses more of its battery.

Reset the collar before shipping

Admins only

Erases everything the collar has recorded, its zones and every setting. The collar comes back with a standard schedule, not collecting, and with no network keys. The paired release unit is kept. It can take a couple of minutes on a full card. This cannot be undone.

Also delete this collar's history on CollarID, so the next owner does not get the test data

A settings file replaces everything on the collarWhen the collar starts with this file on its memory card, it takes every setting from it, the network keys too. Keys cannot be fetched here. If you only change the schedule, open the card's own file first, so its keys are kept.
