Motor Control
Runs until stopped or 30 s timeout. No stall feedback — the mechanism holds at its end-stop until the timer ends the run.
Low-Battery Auto-Detach
A safety net: if the cell nears end-of-life the mechanism releases the collar on its own, so a dead battery can't strand it on the animal. It fires only above 0 °C and after the mechanism has been thawed for several hours — never in freezing conditions. Your scheduled and remote detaches are unaffected by this switch.
Load Test
Fires a brief stall pulse into the seated end-stop (nothing moves) and samples the cell under motor load. Reads resting & loaded voltage, sag, and die temperature — for CR2 threshold characterization.
Ownership
Unpair returns this device to standalone (frees it for another collar). Factory reset clears pairing and any armed detach time, then reboots.
Scheduled Detach
Local time below is converted to UTC. The node fires on its own RTC — no host needed.
Firmware Update
Streams new firmware to the connected device, which verifies it and reboots to apply (a few seconds). Pairing and any armed detach time survive. If the transfer is interrupted, the current firmware keeps running — just upload again.
